The Terms
These terms are the contract between you and stophunt.lol. The Rules say the same thing in the way a payer reads it; this page says it in the way a card issuer, a regulator or a solicitor reads it. Where the two ever disagree that is a defect in one of them — tell us and we will fix it.
Version 1.0 · 24 August 2026 · applies to payments made from that date
01Who we are, and what this is
stophunt.lol is operated by a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. In these terms "we", "us" and the operator mean that person. "You" means the person paying for a listing or using the site.
Write to support@stophunt.lol. A person reads it. It is the address for questions, complaints, delisting requests, reports about a listing, data requests and legal notices, and it is on the foot of every page here.
stophunt.lol is a ranked advertising page. People pay to put a listing on it, and the listings are ordered by the money paid. That is the service.
Paying for a listing means you accept these terms and the content policy on the Rules page, which forms part of them.
02What the money buys, and what it does not
Rank is the total. The leaderboard sorts by money paid and by nothing else — not by anyone's trading, not by our opinion, not by clicks, not by who we like.
A listing is paid placement. It is not a recommendation, not a review, not proof that anyone is any good at anything, and not advice about anything you could put money into. Every outbound link on the leaderboard is marked as paid in the page's code, so search engines and anyone who looks can see it for what it is.
Nobody here checks whether a listed trader knows what they are doing. We check that a listing does not break the content policy. That is a different job, and a much smaller one.
What you are buying is the position. Nothing comes attached to it — not attention, not clicks, not outcome. A listing reports the outbound clicks it has received because that is a fact about the listing, not a thing we sell you.
Anyone can pay to list any handle, including one that is not theirs. Appearing on this leaderboard does not mean the person behind the handle paid, took part, agreed to anything, or is any good at anything. Section 10 is the whole of that mechanic.
03How rank works
Rank is the total — the money paid to put a listing where it is. The leaderboard sorts by the total, highest first.
Money moves in $5 steps, from $5. Passing a listing costs the smallest $5 step that puts your total above theirs. Matching a total exactly does not pass it: level totals are a tie, and a tie goes to the older listing. Taking #1 costs the leader's total plus $5.
Every price shown is the total price, in US dollars, and it includes any tax we are required to charge. Nothing is added later in the payment flow.
The Rules page carries the rest of the mechanic — the week, the bell, the head start, the slots — and it forms part of these terms. The head start given to the closing top three is a grant from the operator with no cash value: it cannot be withdrawn, transferred, refunded or turned into money, and nobody wins it.
We may change the ranking mechanics, the prices and the shape of the week where the law changes, where our payment provider requires it, or where a route is being abused. Any change is prospective only and never reaches back into money already paid. Section 22 says how.
04Eligibility
You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract. Real money moves here and there are no accounts, so there is no version of this open to children.
Pay with your own payment method, or with one you are authorised to use.
If we have delisted a listing of yours for breaking the content policy, do not pay for another one. We may refuse it.
05Placing a listing, and when the contract is made
The contract is made when your payment completes. A rank is claimed by a payment that completes and by nothing else — not by starting one, and not by intending to.
The handle is what identifies a listing. Two payments carrying the same handle are payments into the same listing: the second adds to the first listing's total rather than creating a second listing. Capital letters do not make a new handle.
Before you pay, the payment dialog shows the handle you typed and the amount you are paying. Check both. They are what goes up.
06Immediate performance, and your right to cancel
Your listing goes up straight away, and that is what you are asking for.
A payment buys one thing: your listing on the leaderboard, at the rank your total supports. We place it the moment the payment clears. That is the whole job, and it is done in seconds.
When you pay, you are asking us to do that immediately, and you accept that once your listing and its total are on the leaderboard the work is finished and your right to cancel has gone. You are shown this before you pay and you agree to it at the payment step.
If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, buying online normally gives you 14 days to change your mind. You are giving that up here, deliberately, in exchange for going up now. Nobody is hiding it from you: it is the trade. If you would rather keep the 14 days, do not pay — we cannot hold a rank open for a fortnight and still sell it as a rank.
If you are paying for a business rather than for yourself, that 14-day right never applied to you in the first place.
Two payments are always returned, and they are the only two: a duplicate charge, and a payment that did not produce a listing. Nothing in this section takes away the rights the law gives you if we get something wrong.
The exact words above, the version of these terms they were shown with, and the moment you ticked them are stored with your payment.
07Refunds, and the two exceptions
All payments are final. Money buys placement on this page — nothing else. The placement happens in seconds and cannot be un-made afterwards, which is why it is sold as final rather than as a period you can back out of.
Two exceptions, and they are the only two: a duplicate charge is refunded, and a payment that fails to produce a listing is refunded.
Where the law gives you a refund, it goes back by the same payment method you used, and we do not charge a fee for making it.
Leaderboard credit is an addition, never a substitution. When a listing is delisted, everyone who paid into it receives leaderboard credit of the same value to put on another listing. That sits on top of anything the law entitles you to — never instead of it.
If something has gone wrong with a payment, write to support@stophunt.lol before you dispute it with your bank. A dispute costs us a fee whichever way it goes and costs you a week; an email usually costs neither.
Nothing in this section takes away your statutory rights. If we fail to supply the placement with reasonable care and skill, the law's remedies stand whatever this page says.
08Reversed payments
A payment reversed after the fact un-writes what it bought — the total, the rank that total supported, and anything it put on file. The all-time leaderboard is a record of money that was paid and kept.
Payments show on your statement as STOPHUNT.LOL. If a line you do not recognise appears there, write to us first.
09What you may submit
A listing carries a handle, a link and a short message. The person who paid for it chose all three.
By submitting them you are telling us you have the right to submit them, that they are not somebody else's to give, and that they do not break the content policy. You are responsible for them.
A link must go to a real destination. Malware, phishing, and URLs built to defraud whoever clicks them come off the leaderboard, and so does the listing carrying them.
You give us a licence to publish the handle, the link and the message on the leaderboard, in its archives, and on the share cards it generates: non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, with no royalty payable. Perpetual, because the all-time leaderboard never resets — a licence we had to give back would contradict the thing you paid for.
10Listings that name other people
Anyone can list anyone. Any handle can leave.
Money can put a handle on this leaderboard without asking the person behind it. That is the mechanic, and we are not hiding it.
The other half of the mechanic is that the person behind the handle can take it off, and that beats the money. One message from that handle, enough proof you control it, and the listing is gone the same day. There is no charge for it and there never will be. Once a handle is delisted, nobody can list it again.
So if you pay to list someone else, pay with that in mind. Your total buys the placement while it stands. It does not buy the right to keep somebody on a page they want to be off. If a listing is delisted, its total is voided and everyone who paid into it receives leaderboard credit of the same value to put on another listing — on top of anything the law entitles you to, not instead of it.
A listing carries a handle, a link and a short message, and the person who paid for it chose all three. You are telling us you have the right to submit them, and you are responsible for them.
Listing a real person is the mechanic. Saying you are them is not. A listing built to make the room believe it belongs to somebody it does not is impersonation, it comes off without notice, and it is the one abuse a payment provider will not tolerate.
We only list public-facing accounts. We do not list private individuals and we do not list anyone under 18. If either has happened, tell us and it comes off ahead of everything else in the queue.
11The content policy, and delisting
The content policy on the Rules page forms part of these terms. It is short and it is written in plain English; read it before you pay. In summary, these take a listing off the leaderboard:
- Explicit or pornographic content, and links to it.
- Anything illegal where it is read.
- Malware, phishing, and URLs built to defraud whoever clicks them.
- Doxxing, harassment, and listings aimed at a private individual.
- Deceptive impersonation.
- Hate content: slurs, and attacks on people for who they are.
- Performance figures, returns, guarantees, or asking anyone for money.
That last one is not house style. A page of traders with payer-written lines and payer-chosen links is exactly where an unlawful financial promotion would appear, so the ban on performance figures, returns, guarantees and asking for money is one of the measures that keeps this service lawful, and we apply it consistently.
The consequence, stated here and not only there: a listing that breaks the policy is delisted without notice, its total is voided, and everyone who paid into that listing receives leaderboard credit of equal value to put on another listing. Nobody buys a rank this way and keeps it; nobody who paid is left holding nothing.
We may refuse a listing before it goes up, and we may delist one after. Neither is a right to take your money and do nothing: if we refuse a listing, the payment is returned.
12Reporting unlawful content
Write to support@stophunt.lol with the listing, the exact words or link you are complaining about, why you say it is unlawful, and how we can reach you. We read every one. We will either take the listing down or tell you why we have not, and we will say when.
This route is open to anyone. You do not have to have paid us anything, and you do not have to use this site. If you are the person a listing names, it is open to you first of all.
If a complaint is about defamation, we follow the statutory procedure for website operators. That may mean putting your complaint to whoever paid for the listing, and telling you what happens next. If a report does not carry enough to act on, we will write back and say what a valid notice has to contain.
Reporting a listing is not the same as asking for a handle to be delisted. Delisting is the handle owner's right and needs no reasons; a report is about content and needs particulars. Support sets out both routes and what to send.
13How we deal with illegal content
This is a small service on which users write content that other users see. That puts duties on us about illegal content, and this section is how we meet them.
Terrorism content
Terrorism content is not allowed here and there is no use for it on a ranked advertising page. A listing carries a handle, one link and one short line, and all three are read against the content policy — a listing goes live on payment, so that reading happens as soon after publication as we can do it, and it is done on every listing rather than only on the ones somebody complains about. Anything we identify as terrorism content is removed as soon as we are aware of it and the listing is delisted without notice, without waiting for a report.
Child sexual abuse and exploitation content
Child sexual abuse content is not allowed here in any form, including a link to it. The same check applies, and anything of this kind is removed immediately on becoming aware of it, the listing is delisted, the handle cannot be listed again, and the matter is reported to the appropriate authority. Minors may not be listed at all, and a report that one has been is dealt with ahead of everything else.
Other priority illegal content
The offences this service realistically faces are unlawful financial promotion, fraud by false representation, harassment and the sale of illegal goods through an outbound link. The controls are the ones already described: a check of the handle, the link and the line on every listing; a ban on performance figures, returns, guarantees and asking for money; a ban on impersonation; a ban on listings aimed at a private individual; and removal on notice. We apply them consistently to every listing, whoever paid for it and however much they paid.
Taking it down, and who is accountable
When we are told about illegal content — by a user, by the person the content is about, or by anyone else — we act as soon as we can and, where we take content down, we tell the person who paid for it. No automated filter decides anything here; a person reads every report.
The operator is the person accountable for how this service deals with illegal content and for the complaints described in these terms, and can be reached at support@stophunt.lol.
14If your listing is taken down
If we take your listing down, you can ask us to look again. Write to support@stophunt.lol with the handle, roughly when it went up, and why you say the decision was wrong.
A person reads it who will look at the listing itself, not only at the report about it. If we agree we were wrong, the listing goes back with its total intact and the credit is reversed. If we do not, we will tell you why in writing.
This route also covers a complaint that we have taken something down we should not have, or left something up we should not have.
15How long a listing stays up
A listing is permanent by default. The all-time leaderboard never resets, and a settled week is archived rather than deleted. That is the intent and it is what you are paying for.
Four things can lawfully take a listing off, and we cannot promise around any of them:
- The handle owner asks to be delisted. That right beats the money and is described in section 10.
- Someone exercises a data-protection right — objecting to us publishing their handle, or asking us to erase it.
- A defamation notice runs its statutory course and the outcome is removal.
- The content is illegal and we take it down, as described in section 13.
Outside those four, and outside our own right to delist a listing that breaks the content policy (section 11), a listing stays. Where one is removed for any of those reasons, its total is voided and everyone who paid into it receives leaderboard credit of the same value.
16Nothing here is advice
Nothing on this leaderboard is financial advice, and nothing on it is a statement about anyone's results. We are not authorised to give financial advice and we do not give any.
A listing is an advertisement its payer wrote. If you follow a link and act on what you find, that is your decision and your risk. Trading and investing lose people money.
17Availability
We do not promise the leaderboard is up, and we do not promise a rank is visible for any period. Sites go down.
What survives an outage is the record: the totals, the order and the archive are the leaderboard, and a page that is briefly unreachable has not lost them.
18Our liability
What we owe you if this goes wrong.
If we take your money and do not place your listing, we return the payment. That is the ordinary case, there is no cap on it, and you should not have to argue for it.
Beyond that: our total liability to you for anything connected with a listing is limited to what you paid for that listing. We are not liable for lost profit, lost followers, lost custom, lost opportunity, or what a rank might have been worth to you. A rank comes with no promises attached — not attention, not clicks, not outcome. What you are buying is the position, and the position is all that is guaranteed.
Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. If you are a consumer, your legal rights stand whatever this section says.
19Your liability to us
You are responsible for what you submit. If a claim is made against us because of the handle, the link or the message on a listing you paid for — because it was not yours to submit, because it defamed someone, because it infringed something, or because it broke the content policy — you will cover our losses and our reasonable costs in dealing with it.
This covers what you submitted and nothing else. It does not reach anything we did, chose or wrote ourselves.
20Our intellectual property
The leaderboard, the rules, the marks, the wordmark, the badge art, the share cards and the code behind them are ours. Paying for a listing licenses none of it to you.
Screenshot the leaderboard, post about it, argue about it — that is the point of it. What you may not do is take the thing itself and run it as your own.
21Complaints, and if we cannot settle one
Complain to support@stophunt.lol. Tell us what happened, when, and what you want done. A person answers.
If we get to the point where we cannot settle it between us, we will tell you so in writing, give you the name and website of a certified alternative dispute resolution body, and say whether we will use it. We do not agree in advance to use one, so that is information you are entitled to rather than a route we are bound to take. It does not stop you going to court.
A complaint about how we handle personal information has its own route, and it is set out in the privacy notice.
22Changes to these terms
We may change these terms where the law changes, where our payment provider requires it, where a route is being abused, or where the product itself changes.
Any change is prospective: it applies to payments made after it, never to money already paid. The version and the date at the top of this page are the record of which set your payment was made under, and we keep the previous version and will send it to you if you ask.
23Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, that does not take away protections you have under the law of the country you live in, and it does not stop you bringing a claim in your own courts where the law says you may.
24The rest
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them still stands and the unenforceable part is read as narrowly as it needs to be.
These terms and the Rules page are the whole agreement between us about a listing.
If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given it up.
We may transfer these terms to someone else who takes over the running of the site, on notice to you. You may not transfer them.
Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
