Support
Everything here goes to one address, and a person reads it. This page says what to send for each thing, so a message does not have to come back asking for the obvious.
support@stophunt.lol · @stophuntlol
01How to reach us
support@stophunt.lol — the address for everything. Delisting, reports, data requests, payments, complaints, legal notices. Not a form and not a ticket robot: a person opens it.
@stophuntlol — the public account. Fine for a question. Not the place for anything that needs proof of who you are, and not the place for anything about money: a public reply cannot prove you control a handle, and we will not discuss a payment where the room can read it.
What we actually promise
Two things, and only two, because a promise we break on a bad week is worse than no promise.
- A delisting request is done the same day.
- Every message gets an answer.
We do not publish a response time for anything else. What we do instead is tell you where a thing has got to when it is taking longer than you would expect.
02Request delisting
Any handle can take itself off the leaderboard. There is no charge for it and there never will be. It beats the money that put it there, whoever paid and however much.
Send to support@stophunt.lol, subject Request delisting:
- The handle as it appears on the leaderboard.
- Enough proof you control it. A message or a direct message from the account itself is the simplest. A post from the account mentioning @stophuntlol does it too, and you can delete it afterwards. If neither is possible, write and say so and we will find another way rather than leave you listed.
What happens: the listing comes off the same day. Its total is voided, and everyone who paid into it receives leaderboard credit of the same value. The handle cannot be listed again by anyone.
What does not happen: we never announce a delisting, and we never say who asked. Nobody is told, and nothing appears on the tape.
You do not have to give a reason, and you will not be asked for one.
03Report a listing
This route is for content: a listing that breaks the content policy, or one you say is unlawful. It is open to anyone. You do not have to have paid us anything and you do not have to use this site — if you are the person a listing names, it is open to you first of all.
Send to support@stophunt.lol, subject Report a listing:
- Which listing — the handle, and roughly where on the leaderboard it sits.
- The exact words, or the exact link, you are complaining about.
- Why you say it is unlawful or breaks the policy. "This is defamatory" on its own is not enough for us to act on and, for a defamation complaint, not enough for the statutory procedure either.
- How we can reach you.
What happens: we read it, and we either take the listing down or tell you why we have not — and we say when. If it is a defamation complaint we follow the statutory procedure for website operators, which may mean putting your complaint to whoever paid for the listing. If a report does not carry enough to act on, we write back and say what a valid notice has to contain.
Two things go straight to the front of the queue, ahead of everything else: a listing that names someone under 18, and child sexual abuse content. Put minor or urgent in the subject line and it will be looked at immediately.
A report is not the same as a delisting request. Delisting is the handle owner's right and needs no reasons. A report is about content and needs particulars.
04Change where a listing's link goes
Anyone can list anyone — but links on a listing only change when the handle's owner asks. Nobody hangs their links on your handle.
Send to support@stophunt.lol, subject Change a listing link: the handle, the link you want it to go to, and the same proof of control a delisting needs. Until then, an unclaimed listing shows what is already public.
Links are subject to the content policy exactly like handles, so a new one is read against it before it goes live.
05Your data
Every data right goes to the same address: support@stophunt.lol, subject Data request. Say which right you want and enough for us to find what you are asking about.
The right that matters most here is the right to object to us publishing your handle, and it is the delisting route above — same day, no charge, no argument.
We answer within one month. A complicated request, or several at once, can take up to two months longer, and if that happens we tell you inside the first month and say why. There is no charge.
The privacy notice sets out what we hold, why, for how long and who else sees it. If you think we have handled your information badly you can complain to us — see below — and you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, on 0303 123 1113, or at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.
06A problem with a payment
Write to us before you dispute it with your bank. A dispute costs us a fee whichever way it goes and costs you about a week. An email usually costs neither.
Send to support@stophunt.lol, subject Payment problem: the handle, the amount, and roughly when. Payments show on a statement as STOPHUNT.LOL.
Two payments come back, and they are the only two: a duplicate charge, and a payment that failed to produce a listing. Everything else is final, and the refund section of the terms is where that is written down properly — including the rights the law gives you regardless.
07If your listing was taken down
If we took your listing off, you can ask us to look again. Send the handle, roughly when it went up, and why you say the decision was wrong.
A person reads it who will look at the listing itself and not only at the report about it. If we were wrong, the listing goes back with its total intact. If we were not, we tell you why in writing.
08Complaints
Complain to support@stophunt.lol, subject Complaint. Tell us what happened, when, and what you want done about it. We answer in writing.
If we reach the point where we cannot settle it between us, we will say so in writing, give you the name and website of a certified alternative dispute resolution body, and tell you whether we will use it. We do not agree in advance to use one — that is information you are entitled to, not a route we are bound to take, and it does not stop you going to court.
A complaint about personal information has its own route and its own regulator — above.
